i know. i went to college with someone who did that. i ran into him later in life (as a neighbor) and told him i remembered him having his door propped open in the dorms and couldn't help peeking in every time bc it was so neat. of course he dryly commented "yeah, that's how i picked up girls".

his personality was undesirable but i like the black/white sharpie look.
